ABSTRACT: Chemotherapy and the inflammatory response were associated with persistent depressive symptoms in breast cancer patients undergoing radiation. Treatments targeting inflammation before radiation may reduce depression post radiation therapy, especially in patients who have been treated previously with chemotherapy.
