Project description:Exploratory study of copy number profiles of male breast cancer patients. The experiment contains 75 male breast cancer samples, analysed on a 135K whole genome CGH array
Project description:Characterization of DNA imbalances in a set of 25 MBC samples analyzed by high resolution CGH arrays in order to detect DNA copy number aberrations (CNAs). These results have been then compared with a female breast cancer dataset deposited with the Gene Expression Omnibus. Male patients affected by breast cancer have been consecutively selected for this retrospective study: 15 received the primary diagnosis of breast cancer at the NCC of Bari, while 10 at Regina Elena Institute of Rome, Italy. This dataset was compared to GSE12659 (female breast cancer).
Project description:The incidence of breast cancer has been rapidly increasing in East Asia. This is the first study of genome wide copy number of breast cancer in East Asia. We conducted this study to compare the genetic alterations between East and West.

Project description:Search for copy number imbalances and allelotype in 971 early stage breast cancer using molecular inversion probe arrays Affymetrix MIP arrays were performed according to the manufacturer's directions on DNA extracted from paraffin embedded formalin fixed Stage I and II Breast Cancers Copy number analysis of Affymetrix Oncoscan Version 1 MIP arrays was performed for 971 Stage I and II breast cancers.
