Project description:The evaluation of the toxicity of Aflatoxin B1 using yeast gene expressions. Two yeast strains; parental BY4743 and PTC1 mutant, were used for this study. SDS was used to raise the penetration of the yeast cell membrane. Two conditions are compared with three replicates each. Project description:We addressed changes in gene expression profile in response to ; reduced oxygen tension in wild type or heme depletion caused by ; deletion of heme biosynthesis gene hem1 Experiment Overall Design: I.Heme depletion.The hem1 delta strain was grown for 6 hrs in YPD media supplemented with 250 uM ALA. Cells were washed three times with water to remove excess ALA. Effect of loss of function of Gal11/Med15 and Med3 from the Mediator tail module in budding yeast

Project description:Gene expression was compared for wild type yeast (BY4741) and yeast lacking Gal11/Med15 and Med3, or from a gal11-myc med3∆ strain.
