Hmox1 as a potential therapeutic target for circulating cadmium induced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We established a rat model of cadmium-induced COPD and evaluated its impact. Using proteomics technology, we identified differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) in rat lung tissue exposed to various concentrations of cadmium. Our research findings suggest that cadmium-induced COPD may involve biological processes such as mineral absorption pathways and ferroptosis, with Hmox1 potentially playing a key role.
