The proteomic response of three marine ammonia-oxidizing archaea towards oxidative stress
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Three strains of ammonia-oxidizing archaea, Nitrosopumilus adriaticus NF5, Nitrosopumilus piranensis D3C and Nitrosopumilus maritimus SCM1, were grown under different culture conditions: in the presence of catalase (Catalase), in co-culture with the alphaproteobacterium O. alexandrii (O. alexandrii), without H2O2 scavenger (H2O2 inhibited) and without H2O2 scavenger at high initial cell density (H2O2 non-inhibited). Cultures from all treatments were grown in three biological replicates. For proteomic analysis, technical replicates (derived from two separate MS/MS runs) were combined. Results from differential expression analysis (using the DESeq Bioconductor package in R) are provided.
