Project description:Osteoporosis, the leading cause of death among older people, is characterized by low bone mineral density (BMD) and reduced bone strength. Here, we report that miR162a, a Lycium chinense Mill-encoded microRNA, directly targets bone marrow and inhibits osteoporosis. MiR162a is stable in mice’s stomach and synthetic miR162a agomir could pass through mouse Gastrointestinal tract (GI) tract and enter the sera, bone marrow and organs.
