Project description:We want to find genes who's expression are regulated by or associated with Gabarapl1. For this purpose, we knocked down Gabarapl1 gene. Samples were prepared for microarray and data processing were performed by Shanghai Biotechnology Corporation.
Project description:RATIONALE: Identification of genes that may be associated with developing certain types of cancer may someday provide important information about a person’s risk of getting cancer.
PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying to see if certain genes may be associated with cancer in patients with cancer of the breast, prostate, lung, or colon and siblings of these patients.
Project description:The androgen receptor is considered as the key promoter of prostate cancer. It is a transcription factor that controls the transcription of hundreds of its target genes. In this project we focuses on how androgen receptor stimulation by the synthetic androgen R1881 can affect the proteome of peroxiosmes and the antioxidant enzymes in LNCaP cells.
Project description:RNA sequencing was employed to profile the entire mRNA transcripts. Total RNA from LNCaP transfected with control vector or CRYM bearing vector was isolated. RNA and samples were subjected to the sequencing on illumina's HiSeq 4000 platform. RNA-seq revealed the expression of 58,540 transcripts and of 34,878 (59.6 %) genes were expressed in LNCaP cells. 3226 (9.25 %) genes were altered by CRYM and 2.72 % were upregulated and 6.53 % were downregulated.
