Project description:In order to have a better understanding about genetic regulation of response to NDV challenge, and also to identify the candidate genes regulating disease resistance in combination with GWAS, gene expression in spleen of Hy-Line Brown chickens was investigated. The chickens were divided into two groups (8 chickens/group) that are respectively treated by NDV(200 ul of 108 EID50%) and Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) through nasal and ocular inoculation routes at 21 days post hatch. Gene expression in spleen was then detected by RNA-seq at 2 and 6 day post inoculation (dpi).
Project description:We report the transcriptomes of 10 different chicken (Gallus gallus) cell/tissue types. The goal of this project was to determine similarities and differences between different cell/tissue types, with respect to protein coding genes, lncRNA, isoform counts, and differential gene expression. We provide raw data and bigWig files for UCSC visualization. The findings described here will be useful towards a complete annotation of chicken tissue and cellular transcriptomes.
Project description:We report the application of CHIP-seq technology for high-throughput profiling of histone modifications in HY(Hwayong) and chd1(chr729). By obtaining about 12 million reads of sequence from chromatin immunoprecipitated DNA, we generated genome-wide H3K4me3 and H3k27me3 maps of HY(Hwayong) and chd1(chr729). We find that lysine 4 and lysine 27 trimethylation marked genes effectively losed in chd1 compared to HY.
