<h4>Background and purpose</h4>Δ<sup>9</sup> -Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (Δ<sup>9</sup> -THCA-A), the precursor of Δ<sup>9</sup> -THC, is a non-psychotropic phytocannabinoid that shows PPARγ agonist activity.
