<i>Acinetobacter baumannii</i> is a Gram-negative bacterium responsible for many hospital-acquired infections including ventilator-associated pneumonia and sepsis. We have previously identified <i>A. baumannii</i> thioredoxin A protein (TrxA) as a virulence factor with a multitude of functions including reduction of protein disulfides.
