Project description:We applied single-cell RNA sequencing to investigate inter-species differences in germ cell development between chicken and zebra finch (Taeniopygia castanotis, formerly Taeniopygia guttata castanotis), a Neoaves songbird species and a common model of vocal learning.
Project description:We have conducted a Cross-Species Microarray analysis by hybridizing genomic DNA from the common whitethroat (Sylivia communis) on a newly developed Affymetrix costum array designed for the zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata), the Lund-zf array. We have also quality tested the Lund-zf array by hybridizing zebra finch genomic DNA to the platform.
Project description:The data contain a proteomic analysis of cloacal fluid from 12 females across the reproductive cycle. Letters are used to indicate individuals, while numbers represent reproductive phases (1 - prereceptive, 2 - receptive, 3 - postreceptive). Due to the fact that the genome of the barn swallow is not fully annotated, proteins were mapped to zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata) genome.
Project description:We have conducted a season and subspecies comparasion on the two Willow Warbler subspecies Phylloscopus trochilus trochilus and Phylloscopus trochilus acredula. The analysis were performed by hybridizing cDNA from the Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus) on a Affymetrix costum array designed for the zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata), the Lund-zf array.
Project description:The amniote pallium, a vital component of the forebrain, has undergone considerable evolutionary divergence across species and is critical for a variety of functions including sensation, memory and learning. The relationship between pallial subregions in different species remain elusive, particularly regarding the identification of homologous neurons and their similar or distinct signatures. Here, we utilized single-nucleus RNA sequencing to examine over 130,000 nuclei from macaque (Macaca fascicularis) neocortex, alongside datasets from human (Homo sapiens), mouse (Mus musculus), zebra finch(Taeniopygia guttata), turtle (Chrysemys picta bellii), and lizard (Pogona vitticeps), for a cross-species comparison.
