Project description:Microarrays were used to examine gene expression differences between human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell lines (FaDu, UTSCC8, UTSCC42a) grown in culture in comparison to a normal oral epithelial cell line. Gene expression data was integrated with global protein expression of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell lines and conditioned media to identify secreted protein markers up-regulated at the mRNA level in cancer cells versus the normal cell line. Total RNA obtained from head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell lines and a normal oral epithelial cell line
Project description:This data was used to detect good biomarkers for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and was integrated with transcriptome and miRNome data aiming to elucidate role of epigenetics on gene expression in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
Project description:For the purpose of analyzing mechanisms related to the cis-diamminedichloroplatinum (CDDP) resistance in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (head and neck SCC), we employed a nasal squamous cell carcinoma (nasal SCC) cell line RPMI2650 and its CDDP resistant substrain RPMI2650CR previously described. The identification of the resistance-related microRNA (miR) clusters was conducted between RPMI2650CR and RPMI2650 using microRNA microarray.
Project description:Sage performed on microdissection of Head and Neck tumor, and Head and Neck normal tissue comparative analysis of gene expression profiles of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and Head and Neck normal tissue
Project description:Genome-wide DNA methylation profiling of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs). The Illumina Infinium 27k Human DNA methylation BeadChip v1.2 was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across approximately 27,000 CpGs in fresh-frozen tumor tissues. Samples included 91 tumors from the oralpharynx and larynx, reflecting all stages of disease, 18 normal head and neck National Disease Research Interchange (NDRI) samples, and 213 normal control blood samples. Bisulphite-converted DNA from the 91 head and neck squamous cell carcinoma samples were hybridized to the Illumina Infinium 27k Human Methylation Beadchip v1.2.
