Estimating and predicting the resolution of HiC libraries

Project description:High resolution HiC libraries are usually lightly sequenced before investing in a deep sequencing. We modeled HiC resolution in function of the sequencing depth to predict accurately the resolution of any high resolution HiC library given a small sequnecing batch of the library. To test our tool, we used public datasets as well as a newly generated dataset using Arima kit on mouse purified rods photoreceptors.

Ultra-fast multiplex small DNA sequencing on the MinION nanopore sequencing platform

Project description:Here, we developed an ultra-rapid multiplexed library preparation and sequencing method for the MinION and applied this method to accurately test euploid and aneuploid genomic DNA samples in under three hours, including library preparation and sequencing. This novel method shows great promise as a clinical diagnostic test for applications requiring rapid short-read DNA sequencing.

Ecological Adaptability and Response Mechanism to Salt Stress of Wild Apocynum venetum

Project description:We selected wild A. venetum of four distributed regions (jinta county, minqin county, hangjinqi and baicheng) as the test materials in the study. Based on the study of community composition, population genetic diversity and soil environmental properties of wild A. venetum, physiological characteristics, transcriptomics and proteomics analysis of A. venetum under salt stress, and key regulatory proteins and genes of A. venetum salt tolerance were measured and identified to reveal the ecological adaptability of wild A. venetum and underlying mechanisms in response to salt stress. The study is beneficial to promote the protection and rational development and utilization of germplasm resources of wild A. venetum, and is of great significance to the development of national pharmacology and the construction of ecological civilization in China.
