Project description:Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) poses a significant concern in conditions such as hemorrhagic shock, hepatic resection, and liver transplantation. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of phytomedicines and natural products in effectively protecting against various forms of IRIs. In this particular investigation, we conducted high-throughput screening and identified ginsenoside Rk2 (RK), a rare dehydroprotopanaxadiol saponin, as a promising agent for hepatic IRI. Our subsequent in vivo and in vitro studies demonstrated that Rk2 effectively mitigated inflammation and apoptosis induced by hepatic IRI in a dose-dependent manner. In this study, we comprehensively investigate the pharmacological effects of ginsenoside Rk2 in the treatment of hepatic IRI and elucidate potential molecular mechanisms in vitro.

Samples were collected from the control group and the ischemia reperfusion groups , with 5 samples per group. The candidate mRNA that may affect the process of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion was screened by comparing the ischemia-reperfusion group and the control group.

Expression profiling was used to identify genes that are differentially regulated in either event. Ischemia–reperfusion injury in the murine lung

Project description:Lung ischemia–reperfusion (IR) injury increases the mortality and morbidity of patients undergoing lung transplantation. The objective of this study was to determine the key initiator of lung IR injury and to evaluate pharmacological therapeutic approaches using a functional inhibitor against the identified molecule. In a mouse hilar clamp model, the combination of RNA sequencing revealed that neutrophils-derived S100A8/A9 plays a central role in inflammatory reactions in lung IR injury.
