Project description:We conducted label-free, quantitative proteomics on Lasius niger queen spermathecal fluid and whole-body extracts, as well as Bombus terrestris queen spermathecal fluid and hemolymph, to investigate patterns of protein expression linked to sperm viability and reproductive stage (unmated, recently mated, and 1 week after emergence of first workers). All samples were analyzed on a timsTOF Pro 2 instrument except the L. niger spermathecal fluid, which was analyzed on a timsTOF SCP instrument. The "Compiled_data.xlsx" file contains both the sample metadata and search result tables for all experiments.
