Project description:HIV-positive patients have a higher risk of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with poor prognostic features. To characterize features of HIV-associated lymphoma, we compared the genome-wide DNA methylation profiles in between 11 HIV-associated and 20 non-HIV lymphoma samples by Illumina Infinium HumanMethylation450 BeadChip v1.0. Bisulfite-converted DNA from the 31 samples were analyzed to obtain the genome-wide methylation profile by using Illumina Infinium HumanMethylation450 BeadChip microarray.

Project description:The malignant cells of Hodgkin's lymphoma are characterized by a constitutive activation of the canonical as well as the non-canonical NF-ÎºB signaling cascades. We carried out genome-wide localization and expression profiling experiments in the Hodgkin lymphoma cell line L1236 for the canonical and non-canonical NF-ÎºB pathway components p65, p50 and p52, RelB, respectively. We found that the single NF-ÎºB subunits bind to overlapping, but distinct cistromes by using consensus motifs of high similarity.
