Project description:To characterize breed-specific difference among four Korean native chicken breeds and White Leghorn, we measured their transcriptomes at liver tissue using Affymetrix Chicken gene 1.0 ST array platform.
Project description:This data originates from an expression quantitative trait locus analysis of liver in an advanced intercross of Red Jungefowl and White Leghorn chickens. The aim of the study was to map the genetic basis of growth traits and transcript abundance traits in the liver, and use the latter to search for candidate causative genes for chicken growth.
Project description:White Leghorn SPF chickens were immunized with two doses of DNA vaccine, based on the hemagglutinin (HA) DNA from H5N1 virus, in comparison to the control group, which was administered an empty vector (pCI). Gene expression changes in the spleens of chickens were investigated at 7 day post booster dose.
Project description:White leghorn layers were infected with Salmonella Enteritidis. The cecum were collected at 7 days post infection for total RNA isolation. The significantly expressed microRNAs between infected and non-infected chickens were identified through Solexa sequencing technology.
