Project description:The purpose of the study is to identify Irr-responsive genes in the bacterium Bradyrhizobium japonicum. Parent strain LO was compared to irr mutant strain LODTM5 by whole genome microarray analysis. Both cell types were grown in iron-limited media. Keywords: Comparison of B. japonicum wild type and mutant cells
Project description:The purpose of the study is to identify iron-responsive genes in the bacterium Bradyrhizobium japonicum. Parent strain LO was grown under iron limitation or under iron sufficiency and compared to each other by whole genome microarray analysis. Keywords: Comparison of cells grown under low or high iron conditons
Project description:Affymetrix soybean genome arrays were used to identify genes differentially expressed in the immune resistance response at 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours after inoculation with Phakopsora pachyrhizi isolates TW72-1 or HW94-1 soybean + HW94-1 = resistant; soybean + TW72-1 = susceptible Keywords: time course
Project description:Bradyrhizobium pachyrhizi PAC48(T) has been isolated from a jicama nodule in Costa Rica. The draft genome indicates high similarity with that of Bradyrhizobium elkanii. Several coding sequences (CDSs) of the stress response might help in survival in the tropics. PAC48(T) carries nodD1 and nodK, similar to Bradyrhizobium (Parasponia) ANU 289 and a particular nodD2 gene.
