We have tried to evaluate the physiology of pig during feeding SDW using genomics. 8-9 month old clawn miniature pigs were fed standard dry feed or SDW feeding. SDW feeding composed of standard dry feed: water: SDW= 1:1:1 by the weight ratio.Whole blood gene expression in control and SDW animal was measured at 12 weeks of feeding periods.

Project description:Large White and Meishan pigs were either non-treated or injected with mammalian 1-24 ACTH (Immediate Synachten, Novartis France) at the dose of 250 µg per animal. Pigs were sacrificed either immediately after capture from their home cage (non-treated animals) or 1 hour following ACTH injection. Project description:Miniature pig is a useful animal model to clarify the vital reaction and the molecular mechanisms. However, physiclogical response of pig model to sodium azide (AZIDE) stress is not reveal. To establishment of large animal model for evaluate toxic stress, whole blood of miniature pig were assessed with genomics. 7 month old clawn miniature pigs were fed AZIDE feeding. AZIDE dose of 300µg/kg, one hundredth of LD50 was given orally to the miniature pigs. Whole blood gene expression was measured at 0h, 6h and 24h after feeding.
Project description:To obtain an overview of the transcriptome landscape in developing pig skeletal muscle, 81 high-quality transcriptome libraries that covered 27 developmental stages (3 biological replicates per stage) in pig skeletal muscle were produced by strand-specific rRNA-depleted total RNA sequencing (RNA-seq). We generated 8.59 billion paired-end reads (150 bp × 2) covering 1.24 Tb of sequence for RNA-seq.
