Project description:This study aimed at identifying rhythmically regulated transcripts in the ventral tegmental area (VTA) of mice. Punch biopsies of the VTA from C57BL/6 brain slices were prepared at 6 different timepoints across the day and analyzed for transcriptome regulation
Project description:The goal of the study was to determine how 24-hour withdrawal from cocaine affects the expression profile of transcripts in the nucleus accumbens using genome-wide RNA-sequencing. 11-week old male C57/BL6 mice were injected mice intraperitoneally (IP) with saline (0.9%) or cocaine (20 mg/kg dissolved in 0.9% saline) for 7-days consecutive days, and 24-hours after the last injection, NAc tissue was dissected. Mice were housed in group of 5 mice per cage, and all mice in a cage were injected with either saline or cocaine and thus there was no counter-balancing between groups.
Project description:The hypothalamus has an established role in the central control of energy homeostasis. In this study, we examine the gene expression changes in four discrete hypothalamic nuclei across 24-hour food deprived versus ad libitum fed mice.
Project description:Mice with a congenital Snord116 deletion model aspects of the Prader-Willi Syndrome. In this study, we examine the gene expression changes in four hypothalamic nuclei across 24-hour food deprived versus ad libitum fed mice.
Project description:Circadian control of gene expression has been established in plants at the transcriptional level, but relatively little is known about circadian control of translation. We used polysome profiling to characterize regulation of transcription and translation over a 24-hour diurnal cycle in Arabidopsis, both in wild type and in plants with a disrupted clock due to constitutive overexpression of the CIRCADIAN CLOCK ASSOCIATED 1 gene (CCA1-ox, AGI AT2G46830).

Project description:This study was carried out to compare the changes in the gene expression in the liver of 5 day post fertilization zebrafish larvae in response to 24 hour exposure to 1.0 and 1.5mM iAs and to compare this to changes in gene expression as a result of overexpress as3mt in hepatocytes. CL1 CAAX 1.5 = WT larvae exposed to 1.5 mM iAs; CL2 CAAX 1 = WT larvae exposed to 1.5 mM iAs
