Project description:For deep understading of miR-1285-5p in breast cancer, we have employed whole genome microarray expression profilings as a discovery platform to identify target genes of miR-1285-5p. Using human breast cancer cell lines (MCF7, MDA-MB-231, HCC1937 and HCC1954), 31 down-down regulated genes were identified by overexpression of miR-1285-5p reagardless of tumor biology. Functional interaction of miR-1285-5p with two genes (TMEM194A and SLC30A9) from this gene sets was evaluated by r-rt-PCR, Western blot and luciferase transporter assay.

Project description:This is a prospective-retrospective study to determine if the expression of the miRNA’s miR-31-3p and miR-31-5p are prognostic of patient outcomes or predictive of the benefit from anti-EGFR therapy in stage III Colon Cancer. The present study will utilize FFPE tumor samples collected from patients enrolled in the PETACC-8 study conducted by the Fédération Francophone de Cancérologie Digestive (FFCD). This phase 3 clinical trial prospectively randomized fully resected stage III colon cancer patients to receive adjuvant treatment with either FOLFOX-4 plus cetuximab or FLOFOX-4 alone.

Project description:In order to indetify new target genes of miR-92a-1-5p in chronic myeloid leukemia, K562 cells carrying the BCR::ABL1 fusion gene were transiently transfected with miR-92a mimic or scramble and treated with imatinib. RNA was sequenced to identify genes expressed under imatinib treatment and downregulated after miR-92a-1-5p overexpression.
