Project description:Exploring differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRNAs) in plasma sample between lung adenocarcinoma patients and healthy people using a small RNA (sRNA) sequencing,results showed that we could used these DEmiRNAs identified could discriminate healthy peoples from lung adenocarcinoma patients. Project description:The genetics, social, cultural and environmental factors pose a great challenge for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease among different racial groups. We aimed to identify the differentially expressed genes involved in coronary heart disease in Chinese Han people as an aid for screening and diagnosing coronary heart disease. We used microarrays to detail the global programme of gene expression to identify the differentially gene between the patients with coronary heart disease and healthy people in Chinese Han people Three patients with coronary heart disease and three healthy people in Chinese Han people were recruited,total RNA of each samples were extracted from peripheral blood to hybridize with Affymetrix microarrays.

Differences in bone marrow serum proteins in acute myeloid leukemia patients and normal controls

Project description:we evaluated cytokine profiling of bone marrow serum samples in AML patients and healthy controls. Protein expression profiling of serum from 9 AML patients and 5 healthy controls was obtained using biotinylated antibody chip. Total 507 cytokines and growth factors were analyzed. Compared with healthy people, AML patients expressed 31 signature proteins, among which, 27 were found significantly higher expressed and 4 proteins were lower.

Project description:We took saliva samples from 89 people with oesophageal cancer (plus 9 with high grade dysplasia, also labelled here as cancer) and 167 controls. We took replicate samples on 6 cancer samples and 4 controls to assess reproducibility. The cancer groups comprise people with invasive adenocarcinoma (61 and also 6 replicates), 28 people with intramucosal adenocarcinoma, 9 people with high-grade dysplasia arising in Barrett's esophagus, 52 patients with non-dysplastic Barrett's esophagus, 42 people with no positive diagnosis after endoscopy (ie no Barrett's, + 1 replicate), and 73 self-reported healthy volunteers (with 3 duplicates)
