Differential gene expression profilings between diploid and triploid Fujian Oyster

Project description:The systematic deep sequencing analysis provided a comprehensive understanding of the transcriptome complexity of 2n and 3n Fujian oyster. This information broadens our understanding of the mechanisms of C.angulata polyploidization and contributes to molecular and genetic research by enriching the oyster database. This is the first report on genome-wide transcriptional analysis of adductor muscle of diploid and triploid Fujian oyster and has demonstrated triploid oysters are morphologically almost identical to their diploid counterparts, but have faster growth, due to the reorientation of energetic allocation from gametogenesis to somatic investment. This study provides a foundation for further analysis of the gene expression patterns and signaling pathways which regulate the molecular mechanisms of diploid and triploid oyster.

Project description:Primary objectives: The primary objective is to investigate circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) via deep sequencing for mutation detection and by whole genome sequencing for copy number analyses before start (baseline) with regorafenib and at defined time points during administration of regorafenib for treatment efficacy in colorectal cancer patients in terms of overall survival (OS). Copy number variation analysis of a fetus with Silver-Russell syndrome in China

Project description:The Affymetrix CytoScan 750K Array chip contains 200000 SNP markers and 550000 CNV markers, distributed across the entire human genome at an average density of approximately 1 marker/4kb (not covering all loci of the entire chromosome genome). It is used to detect clinically significant chromosomal microdeletions/microduplications, chromosomal subtelomer deletion syndrome, and other abnormal chromosomal copy number variations (CNVs) as well as loss of heterozygosity (LOH). In a case study of Zhangzhou Municipal Hospital of Fujian Province, copy number variation detection was performed on a fetus with Silver-Russell syndrome using CytoScan 750K Array chip, and variations in the corresponding region were identified.

Copy number variation analysis of 18,000 fetuses in southern China

Project description:Chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA) in prenatal diagnosis detects copy number variations (CNVs) in many fetuses; however, the low penetrance and phenotypic diversity of CNVs complicate genetic counseling, resulting in limited understanding of intrauterine ultrasound phenotypes linked to CNVs. In a retrospective analysis of 25,000 cases at Fujian Maternal and Child Health Hospital, 18,000 pregnant women underwent SNP array testing (December 2015 to June 2023).
