Project description:Lobachevsky University DNAm dataset. Whole blood DNA Methylation (EPIC) profiles from healthy samples from two regions: central Russia (131 samples) and Yakutia (114 samples) obtained in the Laboratory of System Medicine for Healthy Aging, Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia Dataset contains DNAm data from 245 healthy control samples from two regions: central Russia (131) and Yakutia (114). The following characteristics are available for all samples: sex, age, region. Healthy participants in the central Russia region were recruited in 2019–2022. Yakutian participants we recruited in 2022. All measurements were performed at the Laboratory of System Medicine for Healthy Aging, Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
Project description:Global gene expression profiles of peripheral blood of 35 to 42 day-old Yorkshire pigs with extremely low (more efficient) and high RFI (less efficient) values from two Iowa State University lines (the low RFI line, n = 15, and the high RFI line, n =16) that were divergently selected for RFI during the grow-finish phase were determined by Illumina RNA-seq (100 bp, paired-end) on the Hiseq2000 platform to explore the transcription biomarkers for feed efficiency in pigs.
Project description:The following study was conducted to better understand the genetic response of maize roots to nitrate availability. To do so, an array was designed and created by the Plant Sciences Institute at Iowa State University. This custom array contained 7,888 informative spots of cDNA obtained from NSF Plant Genome EST projects led by Ginny Walbot and Pat Schnable. RNA was collected from root tissue at two time points: 30 minutes and 24 hours. At each time point, transcript profiles were compared between root tissues treated with 5mM calcium nitrate and controls treated with 5mM calcium sulfate. Keywords: Nutrient response in maize roots
