Project description:Purpose: We performed RNA-Seq on 2.5dpc mouse hypothalamus, pituitary, ovary and uterus of 8-10 week old littermate female control and Kdm4a knockout mice. Upon observing for the extent of altered genes of physiological relevance to observed female infertility phenotype, this would help us narrow down the most relevant tissue to perform genome wide ChipSeq binding profiles for Kdm4a, H3K4me3 and H3K9me3. This dataset would present likely target genes under direct control of Kdm4a.
Project description:Anterior pituitary glands were isolated from 21 week old male rats treated for 12 weeks with the synthetic estrogen diethylstilbestrol (DES). 43 COPxACI F2 animals were selected based on pituitary weight phenotypic extremes: 22 highest and 21 lowest pituitary weights in our F2 population. Expression profiles were determined using Affymetrix Rat Genome 230 v. 2.0 arrays. In conjunction with genomewide genotypes available for these 43 animals, linkage analysis was done using mRNA abundance of each transcript on the array as a separate quantitative phenotype. These arrays provide a resource for expression QTL (eQTL) mapping on a genomewide level in the pituitary gland. Keywords: Estrogen Response

Project description:We sequenced mRNA from 16 hypothalamus (3-week-old= 8 and 6-week old=8) and 16 pitutary (3-week-old= 8 and 6-week old=8) of Ross308 fast growing-chicken line. In which groups were chickens characterized with high growth rate (n=4) and low growt rate (n=4). The cockerels were reared in a deep-litter facility in experimental farm of the National Research Institute of Animal Production located in Aleksandrowice till 22 or 42 days of age, under the same, optimal, electronically controlled environmental conditions (temperature, lighting regime, air humidity) and were fed ad libitum with the same complete starter (1-21 days of age), grower (22-35 days of age) and finisher (36-42 days of age) diets containing 22, 20.5 and 20.5% crude protein and 2990, 3130 and 3130 kcal/kg metabolic energy.
