Gene expression data from livers of Yap+/+ and Yap+/- mice at postnatal day 30

ABSTRACT: Liver undergoes both size increase and differentiation during postnatal period, which in mice is approximately first 30 days. The mechanisms of simultaneous postnatal liver cell proliferation and maturation are not clear. In these experiments, role of yes associated protein (Yap), the downstream effector of Hippo Kinase signaling pathway was investigated. Total RNA isolated from livers of Yap+/+ and Yap+/- mice at Postnatal day 30. Pooled livers from 5 mice per genotype were used.

It is known that the liver undergoes size increase and differentiation simultaneously during the postnatal period. Cells in the liver undergo a period of well-controlled proliferation to achieve the adult liver-to-body weight ratio. The postnatal liver growth is also accompanied by simultaneous hepatic differentiation. However, the mechanisms of liver size regulation and differentiation are not completely clear. Herein we report that yes-associated protein (Yap), the downstream effector of the H  ...[more]
