Expression data from preadipocytes isolated from laying hen II

ABSTRACT: Adipogenesis is one of the most intensively studied models of cellular differentiation, and transcriptional activities involved in the process have been extensively investigated. We analyzed transcripts differentially expressed between hen preadipocytes treated with adipogenic cocktail containing 500 nM dexamethasone, 0.5 mM 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine, 20 Âµg/mL insulin and 300 Î¼M OA (DMIOA) and non-treated control cells and transcripts differentially expressed between preadipocytes treated with DMIOA alone and those treated with a combination of DMIOA and 20(S)-hydroxycholesterol (DMIOA + 20(S)) using Affymetrix GeneChipÂ® Chicken Genome Array containing 28,000 transcripts. Preadipocytes were isolated from hen abdominal tissue, cultured and treated with DMIOA, DMIOA+Retinoic Acid

Project description:The aim of this study was to determine the impact of early life stress on the motivation for a palatable nutritional reward in two mouse strains. Our data showed that MS associated with unpredictable chronic mild stress in lactating dams exacerbated motivation for a palatable food reward (sweetened milk) in both males and females C3H/HeN mice. Interestingly, no effect of MS was reported on motivation in C57Bl/6J mice strain. The transcriptomic analysis revealed that exacerbated motivation in MS C3H/HeN male mice was associated with marked changes in gene expressions in the NAc, whereas no significant changes were reported in PFC or hypothalamus.
