Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fifth common cancer in the world and it mainly occurs in men. Glycine N-methyltransferase (GNMT) participates in one-carbon metabolism and affects DNA methylation by regulating the ratio of S-adenosylmethionine to S-adenosylhomocystine.
