Transcription profiling of wild type, relA-, and relA-spoT- mutant strains of E. coli submitted to starvation for isoleucine

ABSTRACT: WT and mutant strains (relA-, relA-spoT-) were submitted to starvation for isoleucine. 40 minutes after starvation, RNA was extracted. All samples were compared to RNA from rapidly growing WT cells in identical medium.

Transcription profiling of rat heart, kidney and placenta from fetuses obtained from dams with diet-induced intra-uterine growth restriction vs. normal

Project description:Pregnant rats were randomly divided into two groups. Dams were then housed individually and fed throughout gestation a 22 % protein diet, representing the control group (C, n=5), or an 9% isocaloric protein diet, representing the low-protein (LP, n=6). Both diets were isocaloric, because the protein deficiency in the LP diet was compensated by the addition of carbohydrates. Feeding of LP diet began on the day of conception and continuing throughout pregnancy. The low-protien diet resulted in Intra-Uterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) of the fetuses. Project description:Cell cycle dependent transcriptome changes of H. salinarum were analyzed using DNA microarrays. Cells were synchronized by a reversible cell cycle arrest caused by addition of the DNA polymerase inhibitor Aphidicolin. Gene expression of the synchronized cells at different time points after Aphidicolin removal was compared to an unsynchronized control culture (treated identically, but without Aphidicolin addition; time points for the control culture pooled). Project description:ChIP-chip study using Saos-2 cell line infected with adenoviruses encoding GFP (Mock) or GFP together with the p53 H1 helix mutants EL or RE. DNA-protein-complexes were precipitated with monoclonal p53-antibody (clone DO-1). Mock-chromatin was immunoprecipitated in the absence of antibody. Three completely independent biological replicates were performed for each antibody, obtaining the corresponding input as total genomic DNA reference. Hybridizations were performed using Affymetrix GeneChip Human Tiling 2.0R Array set (7 arrays set).
