Methylation of different human adipose tissues
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Characterization of human epiploic adipose tissue (AT), compared to other AT: omental, mesenteric and subcutaneous. AT was surgically removed, collected and methylome as well as proteome and transcriptome was analyzed. For 12 donors, DNA methylation was analyzed for all 4 aforementioned AT types, while 2 donors contributed one and 3 types, resp. Donors showed obesity, but were either insulin sensitive or insulin resistant.
ORGANISM(S): Homo sapiens
