Dietary enrichments cause alterations in metabolome, transcriptome and improve freeze-tolerance in larvae of the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster).
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this experiment, Drosophila melanogaster larvae were fed with Proline and Arginine compounds and showed a better tolerance to freezing compared to control larvae. Using a microarray approach, we investigated the alteration of transcriptome profiles in larvae fed with Proline or Arginine versus control larvae.
