Selenite treatment of a Saccharomyces cerevisiae wild type strain.


ABSTRACT: In the frame of a multispecies project, Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells were treated with 10 mM sodium selenite. Cells were collected 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 minutes after the treatment and their transcriptomes were compared to those of mock-treated cultures. Four independent biological replicates were performed.

In this work, we used comparative transcriptomics to identify regulatory outliers (ROs) in the human pathogen <i>Candida glabrata</i>. ROs are genes that have very different expression patterns compared to their orthologs in other species.
