Modeling Poliovirus infection with human motor neuron-enriched engineered neural tissue (mnENT)

ABSTRACT: We generated motor neuron-enriched engineered neural tissue (mnENT) by differentiating human embryonic stem cell towards the neural lineage. PV-3 infected and non-infected mnENT were screened for the presence of PV-3 prior RNA extraction and cRNA preparation. To get more insight into the molecular mechanisms following PV-3 infection in mnENT, transcriptomic analysis using human HT-12 v3.0 Illumina microarray was used. Two conditions, not infected mnENT vs infected mnENT 5 day post-infection, comparing three biological samples were tested.
