Non-syndromic tooth agenesis (NSTA) is one of the most common dental developmental malformations affected by genetic factors predominantly. Among all 36 candidate genes reported in NSTA individuals, <i>EDA</i>, <i>EDAR</i>, and <i>EDARADD</i> play essential roles in ectodermal organ development.
