The influence of grain structure and quenching rates on the exfoliation corrosion (EXCO) susceptibility of 7085 alloy was studied using immersion tests, optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), and scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM).
