Globally, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers and a leading cause of cancer-related death. We previously identified an immune evasion pathway whereby tumor cells produce retinoic acid (RA) to promote differentiation of intratumoral monocytes into protumor macrophages.
