The nitric oxide (NO)-soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC)-cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) pathway plays a key role in the pathogenesis of pulmonary hypertension (PH). Targeted treatments include phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5i) and sGC stimulators.
