Conventional high-throughput screening (HTS) platforms suffer from the need for large cell volumes, high reagent consumption, significant assembly cost, and handling efforts. The assembly of three-dimensional (3D) bioprinted hydrogel-based microfluidic chips within platforms can address these problems.
