Decaaqua-dioxidobis[μ(3)-N-(phospho-n-atometh-yl)imino-diacetato]-dizinc(II)-divanadium(IV) dihydrate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Zn(2)V(2)(C(5)H(6)NO(7)P)(2)O(2)(H(2)O)(10)]·2H(2)O, contains a [V(2)O(2)(pmida)(2)](4-) dimeric anionic unit [where H(4)pmida is N-(phosphono-meth-yl)imino-diacetic acid] lying on a centre of symmetry which is exo-coordinated via the two deprotonated phospho-nate groups to two Zn(2+) cations, with the coordination environment of Zn completed by five water mol-ecules. The crystal packing is mediated by an extensive network of strong and highly directional O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecules (coordinated and uncoordinated) and the functional groups of pmida(4-), leading to a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(4)H(5)O(4))(H(2)O)](n), the imino-diacetate (ida) ligands link the Cu(II) atoms into polymeric zigzag chains running along [010]. Each Cu(II) ion is five-coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry by one N and two O atoms from an ida ligand, one O atom from the neighbouring ida ligand and one water O atom. In the crystal, the polymeric chains are held together via inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title complex, [Cu(C(11)H(11)NO(6))(H(2)O)], contains a Cu(II) atom in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. Project description:The polyhedral building blocks of the layered inorganic network in the mixed-valence title compound, (NH4)(V(IV)O2)(V(V)O2)(TeO3), are vertex-sharing V(V)O4 tetra-hedra, distorted V(IV)O6 octa-hedra and TeO3 pyramids, which are linked by V-O-V and V-O-Te bonds, forming double layers lying parallel to (100). The presumed Te(IV) lone-pairs of electrons appear to be directed inwards into cavities in the double layers. The charge-balancing ammonium cations lie between the layers and probably inter-act with them via N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title coordination polymer, {[Zn(2)(C(24)H(18)N(4)O(10))(H(2)O)(4)]·H(2)O}(n), the mol-ecular building block (MBB), viz [Zn(2)(CO(2))(4)(H(2)O)(4)], comprises two Zn(II) cations, each bridged by three carboxyl-ate groups from different ligand mol-ecules. These two Zn(II) cations exhibit different coordination environments: a distorted trigonal-pyramidal coordination, as an inter-mediate, is formed by the two coordinated water mol-ecules and three carboxyl-ate groups, and a distorted octa-hedral geometry defined by three water mol-ecules and three carboxyl-ate groups, in which two carboxyl-ate groups from the same side of the clip glycoluril ring and one water mol-ecule are bidentate bridging, whereas others are monodentate units. Every ligand mol-ecule connects four MBBs, thus forming a three-dimensional structure. Extensive intra- and inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonding is observed.
