The cation, anion and water mol-ecules inter-act through hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network.

Project description:The structure of the title ionic compound, (C(5)H(6)N(5))(2)[Cu(C(2)O(4))(2)]·2H(2)O, consists of a centrosymmetric copper(II) oxalate dianion, two monoprotonated mol-ecules of the adenine analog 7-amino-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (7atp) and two water mol-ecules of crystallization. The Cu(II) ion, located on an inversion center, exhibits a sligthly distorted square-planar coordination geometry, in which two oxalate anions bind in a bidentate fashion. The triazolopyrimidine ligand is protonated at the N atom in position 4, instead of its most basic N atom in position 3. This fact may be explained by the network stability, which is provided through the formation of a two-dimensional wave-like network parallel to (50[Formula: see text]) by N-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These nets are further connected via C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Crystal structure of bis-[4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridinium] aqua-bis-(oxalato)oxidovanadate(IV) dihydrate.

Project description:The title organic-inorganic hybrid salt, (C7H11N2)2[V(C2O4)2O(H2O)]·2H2O, shows a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment for the vanadium(IV) atom in the anion (point group symmetry 2), with four O atoms from two symmetry-related chelating oxalate dianions and two O atoms in trans configuration from a coordinating water mol-ecule and a terminal vanadyl O atom. In the crystal, (001) layers of cations and anions alternate along [001]. The anionic layers are built up by inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the coordinating and solvent water mol-ecules. The cationic layers are linked to the anionic layers via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the pyridinium group and the non-coordinating O atoms of the oxalate group. The 4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridinium cations are also engaged in π-π stacking with their anti-parallel neighbours [centroid-to-centroid distance = 3.686 (2) Å]. Considering all supra-molecular features, a three-dimensional network structure is accomplished.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, (C(6)H(9)N(2))(2)[CuBr(4)], the geometry around the Cu atom is inter-mediate between tetra-hedral (T(d)) and square planar (D(4h)). Each [CuBr(4)](2-) anion is connected non-symmetrically to four surrounding cations through N-H⋯X (pyridine and amine proton) hydrogen bonds, forming chains of the ladder-type running parallel to the crystallographic b axis. These layers are further connected by means of offset face-to-face inter-actions (parallel to the a axis), giving a three-dimensional network. Cation π-π stacking [centroid separations of 3.69 (9) and 3.71 (1) Å] and Br⋯aryl inter-actions [3.72 (2) and 4.04 (6) Å] are present in the crystal structure. There are no inter-molecular Br⋯Br inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(6)H(9)N(2))(2)[Cu(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)], contains half of a [Cu(pydc)(2)](2-) (pydcH(2) is pyridine-2,6-dicarb-oxy-lic acid) anion and one protonated 2-amino-4-methyl-pyridine (2a4mpH)(+) counter-ion. The anion is a six-coordinated complex with a distorted CuN(2)O(4) octa-hedral geometry around the Cu(II) ion. N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds along with π-π contacts between the pyridine rings of the (2a4mpH)(+) cations [centroid-centroid distance = 3.573 (2) Å] stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, K(3)[Cu(C(10)H(12)N(2)O(10)P)]·2H(2)O, the Cu(II) ion, one potassium cation and a P atom are situated on a twofold rotation axis. The Cu(II) ion is coordinated by two N and four O atoms from one bis-{[bis-(carboxyl-atometh-yl)amino]-meth-yl}phosphinate ligand in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The two crystallographically independent potassium ions exhibit different coordination environments. The potassium ion in a general position is hepta-coordinated by five carboxyl-ate O atoms, one phosphinate O atom and one water mol-ecule [K-O = 2.718?(3)-3.040?(3)?Å], and the potassium ion situated on the twofold rotation axis is hexa-coordinated by four carboxyl-ate O atoms and two water mol-ecules [K-O = 2.618?(3)-2.771?(3)?Å]. The water mol-ecules are also involved in formation of inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, (C7H11N2)2[CuCl4], comprises half a tetrahedral tetra-chlorido-cuprate anion, being located on a twofold axis, and a protonated 4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridine cation. The geometry around the Cu(II) ion is highly distorted with the range of Cl-Cu-Cl angles being 94.94?(1)-141.03?(1)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H?Cl and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds. In the three-dimensional network, cations and anions pack in the lattice so as to generate chains of [CuCl4](2-) anions separated by two orientations of cation layers, which are inter-locked through ?-? stacking contacts between pairs of pyridine rings, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.7874?(7)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, (C(6)H(9)N(2))(2)[Cu(C(6)H(2)N(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·6H(2)O, was obtained by the reaction of CuCl(2)·2H(2)O with pyrazine-2,3-dicarb-oxy-lic acid (pyzdcH(2)) and 2-amino-6-methyl-pyridine (2a-6mpy) in aqueous solution. The Cu(II) atom is located on an inversion centre and has an overall octa-hedral coordination environment. Two N and two O atoms from (pyzdc)(2-) ligands define the equatorial plane and two water mol-ecules are in axial positions, resulting in a typical tetra-gonally Jahn-Teller-distorted environment. Extensive classical O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O and non-classical C-H?O hydrogen bonds, as well as ?-? stacking inter-actions between aromatic rings of the cations [centroid-centroid distance = 3.58?(9)?Å], lead to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The title compound, (C(6)H(9)N(2))(2)[Cu(C(6)H(2)N(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·6H(2)O, consists of a mononuclear trans-[Cu(pzdc)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2-) dianion (pzdc is pyrazine-2,3-dicarboxyl-ate) and two [ampyH](+) cations (ampy is 2-amino-4-methyl-pyridine) with six water mol-ecules of solvation. The Cu(II) atom is hexa-coordinated by two pzdc groups and two water mol-ecules. The coordinated water mol-ecules are in trans-diaxial positions and the pzdc dianion acts as a bidentate ligand through an O atom of the carboxyl-ate group and the N atom of the pyrazine ring. There are diverse hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, such as N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O contacts, which lead to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:The structure of the title salt, (C(6)H(8)N)(2)[CuCl(3.4)Br(0.6)], consists of two 3-methyl-pyridinium cations and a distorted tetra-hedral [CuCl(3.4)Br(0.6)](2-) dianion. Substitutional disorder with Br is exhibited for three of the Cl atoms of the anion, giving a mixed chloride/bromide cuprate(II) anion. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds link two cations to one anion, forming a three-ion aggregate. These are connected into a supra-molecular chain along the b axis via ?-? inter-actions between the pyridinium rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.743?(3)?Å].
