ABSTRACT: The Co(II) ion in the title complex, (C(4)H(14)N(2))(2)[Co(C(2)O(4))(3)]·2H(2)O, is coordinated by three oxalate ions, resulting in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Two uncoordinated water mol-ecules are present in asymmetric unit. Inter-molecular N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds between the different entities stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Co(III)(NH₃)₆]₃[Co(II)(C₂O₄)₃]₂Cl·12H₂O, was synthesized under hydro-thermal conditions. The asymmetric unit comprises two [Co(NH₃)₆]³⁺ cations, one located on a threefold axis and the other on a site of symmetry -3, a [Co(C₂O₄)₃]⁴⁺ anion, located on a threefold axis, one sixth of a chloride anion [disordered over two sites, one threefold (site occupancy = 0.5) and the other -3 (site occupancy (0.25)] and two water molecules. Both Co(III) centers are six-coordinated by NH₃ mol-ecules, forming [Co(NH₃)₆]³⁺ octa-hedra, with Co-N distances in the range 1.958 (2)-1.977 (3) Å. The title structure gives the first example of the [Co(C₂O₄)₃]⁴⁻ anion, with the distorted octa-hedral environment of Co(II) center formed by six O atoms from three oxalate residues. The Co-O bond lengths are 2.0817 (18) to 2.0979 (18) Å. Multiple N-H⋯O, N-H⋯Cl and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the cations, anions and water mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(2)O(4))(C(5)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)], the Cu(II) atom is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal geometry by two N atoms belonging to the two 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole ligands, two O atoms of the oxalate anion providing an O,O'-chelating coordination mode, and an O atom of the water mol-ecule occupying the apical position. The crystal packing shows a well defined layer structure. Intra-layer connections are realised through a system of hydrogen bonds while the nature of the inter-layer inter-actions is completely hydro-phobic, including no hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The structure of the title ionic compound, (C(5)H(6)N(5))(2)[Cu(C(2)O(4))(2)]·2H(2)O, consists of a centrosymmetric copper(II) oxalate dianion, two monoprotonated mol-ecules of the adenine analog 7-amino-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (7atp) and two water mol-ecules of crystallization. The Cu(II) ion, located on an inversion center, exhibits a sligthly distorted square-planar coordination geometry, in which two oxalate anions bind in a bidentate fashion. The triazolopyrimidine ligand is protonated at the N atom in position 4, instead of its most basic N atom in position 3. This fact may be explained by the network stability, which is provided through the formation of a two-dimensional wave-like network parallel to (50[Formula: see text]) by N-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. These nets are further connected via C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, K[Co(CO(3))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))]·2H(2)O, the Co(III) atom is coordinated by two bipyridine N atoms and four O atoms from two bidentate chelating carbonate anions, and thus adopts a distorted octa-hedral N(2)O(4) environment. The [Co(bipy)(CO(3))(2)](-) (bipy is 2,2'-bipyridine) -units are stacked along [100] via π-π stacking inter-actions, with inter-planar distances between the bipyridine rings of 3.36 (4) and 3.44 (6) Å, forming chains. Classical O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions link the chains, forming channels along (100) in which the K(+) ions reside and leading to a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:The title compound, (C(10)H(10)N(2))[Cu(C(2)O(4))(2)] or (4,4'-H(2)bpy)[Cu(ox)(2)] (bpy is 4,4'-bipyridine and ox is oxalate), is an ion-pair complex comprising a protonated 4,4'-bipyridinium dication and a square-planar dioxalatocopper(II) dianion. In the centrosymmetric dianion, the Cu(II) centre is coordinated by four O atoms from the two dicrete oxalate ligands [Cu-O = 1.9245?(19) and 1.9252?(17)?Å], while the planar dications are also centrosymmetric. Inter-species N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions into one-dimensional chains and, together with weak intra-ion C-H?O inter-actions, give a two-dimensional sheet structure.
