ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(25)H(20)N(4)·4H(2)O, crystallizes with the organic mol-ecule lying on a twofold rotation axis through the methyl-ene bridge C atom; there are also two water molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H?O, O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, linking the water mol-ecules to each other and to the pyridine N atom.

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(C(16)H(12)N(3)S)(3)]·4H(2)O, the central Co(III) atom is in a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. There are three N-[(anthracen-9-yl)-methyl-ene-amino]-thio-ureate ligands coordinated to the Co(III) atom via three imine N and three thio-amide S atoms. The Co-S and Co-N bond distances are in expected ranges [2.2194 (8)-2.2545 (8) and 1.926 (2)-1.985 (2)Å, respectively]. The endocyclic S-Co-N bond angles in the five-membered chelate rings range from 82.91 (7) to 85.33 (7)°. The structure contains four water mol-ecules which are disordered over 12 sites and link the complex mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network through N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N, and O-H⋯S hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The Cu atom in the title compound, [Cu(NO(3))(2)(C(12)H(10)N(2))(CH(3)OH)], adopts a square-pyramidal geometry, being ligated by two N atoms of the bidentate N-(2-pyridylmethyl-ene)-aniline (ppma) ligand, two O atoms of NO(3) ligands and one O atom of a methanol molecule, which occupies the apical position. The phenyl ring on the ppma ligand is twisted out of the pyridine plane, forming a dihedral angle of 42.9?(1)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds between methanol and NO(3) ligands form an extensive one-dimensional network extending parallel to [100].

It crystallizes with two half mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The complete mol-ecules are generated by inversion symmetry, with the center of the pyrazine rings being located at crystallographic centres of inversion. The ligand coordinates two NiII ions in a bis-penta-dentate manner and the sixfold coordination sphere of each nickel(II) atom (NiS2O3N) is completed by a water mol-ecule. The complex crystallized as a hepta-hydrate. The binuclear complexes are linked by Owater-H⋯Ocarbon-yl hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the (101) plane. This layered structure is additionally stabilized by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Further O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving binuclear complexes and solvent water mol-ecules, together with weak C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, link the layers to form a supra-molecular framework.

Project description:In the title compound, C(14)H(14)N(2)O(3), the nitro group is nearly coplanar with the benzene ring to which it is bonded [dihedral angle = 1.70 (2)°], and this ring is para-substituted by the amino-methyl-ene group. The dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 57.8 (1)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also observed.

Project description:The title compound, C(19)H(13)F(2)N, was synthesized by an addition reaction of bis-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)methanone with aniline. The dihedral angles formed by the fluoro-benzene rings with the aniline ring are 81.04 (5) and 64.15 (5)°. In the crystal packing, inter-molecular C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into zigzag chains parallel to the c axis.
