ABSTRACT: In the centrosymmetric and dinuclear title complex, [Mn(2)(C(22)H(22)N(4)O(2))(ClO(4))(2)], the two Mn atoms are bridged by two phenolate O atoms of the N(4)O(2) macrocycle with an Mn⋯Mn distance of 2.9228 (11) Å. The distorted square-pyramidal N(2)O(3) coordination geometry is completed by an O atom derived from a perchlorate anion.

Project description:The dinuclear title complex, [Cu(2)(C(46)H(38)N(4)O(2))Cl(2)]·0.5C(2)H(5)OH·2H(2)O, is located on crystallographic inversion centres with two half-mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The two Cu(II) atoms are coordinated by a hexa-dentate dianionic ligand formed in situ from the condensation of two tridentate ligands by four imine N atoms and two bridging phenolate O atoms along with two Cl atoms at axial positions. The coordination geometry around the metal atoms is distorted square-pyramidal (? = 0.185 and 0.199). The non-bonding Cu?Cu distances are 2.9556?(12) and 2.9506?(12)?Å in the two dimers. The packing is stabilized through solvent-mediated inter-molecular O-H?O and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds. The diamine chain of one of the dimers is disordered over two positions in a 0.680?(5):0.320?(5) ratio.

Project description:The title compound, C(46)H(40)N(4)O(2)·0.33C(6)H(12), was obtained unintentionally as a product of an attempted synthesis of a cadmium(II) complex of the [2,6-{PhSe(CH(2))(2)N=CPh}(2)C(6)H(2)(4-Me)(OH)] ligand. The full tetra-imino-diphenol macrocyclic ligand is generated by the application of an inversion centre. The macrocyclic ligand features strong intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angles formed between the phenyl ring incorporated within the macrocycle and the peripheral phenyl rings are 82.99?(8) and 88.20?(8)°. The cyclo-hexane solvent mol-ecule lies about a site of [Formula: see text] symmetry. Other solvent within the lattice was disordered and was treated with the SQUEEZE routine [Spek (2009). Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(2)(C(36)H(42)N(4)O(2))(CH(3)COO)(2)]·2CH(3)CH(2)OH, a centrosymmetric dinuclear zinc macrocyclic complex is accompanied by two half-occupied ethanol solvent molecues resulting in a 1:2 macrocycle-solvent composition. The Zn(II) atom has a square-pyramidal geometry arising from an N(2)O(3) donor set, being coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from the macrocyclic ligand in the equatorial sites and one O atom from an acetate anion in the apical site. The two Zn(II) atoms are linked by two phenolate O atoms, generating a four-membered Zn(2)O(2) ring at the centre of the macrocycle. The tert-butyl group shows rotational disorder over two sets of sites in a 0.552?(12):0.448?(12) ratio. In the crystal, N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds are seen and a short intra-molecular C-H?O contact occurs.

Each Mn(2+) ion is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by two N atoms from one 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and four O atoms [Mn-O = 2.116 (2)-2.237 (2) Å] from three bta(4-) ligands, which also act as bridging groups between the Mn(2+) ions.

Each manganese(II) cation is coordinated by two terminally N-bonded seleno-cyanate anions and four bpe ligands within a slightly distorted octa-hedron. The manganese(II) cations are linked by the bpe ligands into chains that are further connected by these ligands into layers. These layers are stacked, forming cavities in which additional bpe solvent molecules are embedded.

Project description:The central CuN(2)O(4) motif of the title compound, [Cu(ClO(4))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)(2)], exhibits a Jahn-Teller-distorted octa-hedral geometry around the metal atom, showing a considerably long Cu-O bond distance of 2.5058 (12) Å towards the second perchlorate group, giving a (4 + 1+1)-type coordination mode. In the crystal, the components are linked via inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to (001). Additional stabilization within these layers is provided by π-π [centroid-centroid distances of 3.7848 (9)-4.4231 (9) Å] stacking inter-actions.
