ABSTRACT: The title complex, [Zn(3)(C(2)H(3)O(2))(6)(C(9)H(8)ClN(3))(2)], contains three Zn(II) atoms bridged by six acetate ligands. The central Zn(II) ion, located on an inversion centre, is surrounded by six O atoms from acetate ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry [Zn-O = 1.9588?(12)-2.1237?(12)?Å]. The terminal Zn(II) ions are coordinated by one N atom of 2-amino-7-chloro-5-methyl-1,8-naphthyridine and three O atoms of three acetate ligands in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The separation between the central and terminal Zn(II) ions is 3.245?(3)?Å.

Project description:In the title trinuclear cobalt-terbium complex, [Co(2)Tb(C(4)H(5)O(2))(6)(NO(3))(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)], the central Tb(III) and each of the Co(II) ions are bridged by three carboxyl-ate groups of the methacrylate anions. The Tb(III) cation is coordinated by six O atoms from six methacrylate anions and two O atoms from a chelating nitrate anion in a distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry. Each Co(II) ion is coordinated by three O atoms from three methyl-acrylate anions and two N atoms of a 2,2'-bypiridine ligand in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. In the crystal structure, π-π stacking between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.682 (8) and 3.760 (8) Å] is observed and weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding is also present.

Project description:In the title compound, [EuSm(C(12)H(9)O(2))(6)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)], the metal site is statistically occupied (50:50) by Eu and Sm atoms, forming a centrosymmetric complex. The metal site is nine-coordinate, in a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry. Mol-ecules are linked into three chains by C-H⋯π interactions and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The combination of these chains generates a three-dimensional framework structure. One of the bridging naphthalene-1-ace-tate ligands was found to be disordered over two sites; the site occupancies for the naphthylmethyl group refined to 0.628 (14) and 0.372 (14).

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(2)Cd(C(17)H(16)N(2)O(2))(2)(C(2)H(3)O(2))(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)(2)], contains discrete centrosymmetric hetero-trinuclear mol-ecules in which Ni/Cd atom pairs are triply bridged via O atoms from the SALPD(2-) [N,N'-bis-(salicyl-idene)-1,3-propane-diaminate] and acetate ligands. The central Cd(II) ion is in a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment formed by four O atoms from two SALPD(2-) ligands in the equatorial plane and two O atoms of two symmetry-related acetate ligands in the axial positions. The symmetry-related Ni(II) ions are in slightly distorted octa-hedral environments, coordinated by two O and two N atoms from tetra-dendate SALPD(2-) ligands in the equatorial plane, while the axial positions are occupied by O atoms from a dimethyl-formamide and an acetate ligand. This results in the formation of three edge-shared octa-hedra in which the Ni⋯Cd distance is 3.1482 (15) Å. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(2)Br(3)(CH(3)COO)(C(16)H(32)N(4))], one Zn(II) atom has a distorted square-planar coordination formed by the four macrocyclic N atoms with an acetate O atom in the apical position and the other Zn(II) atom has a tetra-hedral coordination environment formed by three Br atoms and one O acetate atom. The two Zn(II) atoms are linked by an acetate bridge. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers with graph-set motifs R(2) (2)(16) by an N-H⋯Br inter-action. The mol-ecular configuration is stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯Br hydrogen bond.

Project description:The title compound, [Hf(3)(C(6)H(7))(6)Cl(2)O(2)], is a trinuclear mol-ecule having two (MeCp)(2)HfCl units (MeCp is methyl-cyclo-penta-dien-yl) each connected to an (MeCp)(2)Hf unit by an oxide bridge. The two Hf-O-Hf bridges are nearly linear. The geometry of the three Hf atoms is tetra-hedral (assuming the MeCp group occupies one coordination site); the O-Hf-O angle is 99.8 (5)°. One of the Cl atoms is disordered, with site occupancies of 0.61 (7) and 0.39 (7).

In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into an infinite three-dimensional network by O-H⋯O, N-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O, O-H⋯N, C-H⋯O, C-H⋯N and C/N-H⋯π inter-actions involving the pyridine rings.

The titanium atom is N,O,O',O''-chelated by the nitrilo-triacetate and O,O'-chelated by the peroidxo group and is coordinated to the bridging O atom in an overall penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry. The O atom of one of the carboxyl-ate -CO(2) groups binds to the water-coordinated Cu atom, whose coordination polyhedron is an elongated octa-hedron. Adjacent tetra-nuclear mol-ecules are linked through the coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:A low-temperature redetermination of the trinuclear cluster compound described as [Cr(3)(C(2)H(2)ClO(2))(6)O(H(2)O)(3)]NO(3)·3H(2)O [Glowiak, Kubiak & Jezowska-Trzebiatowska (1977 ▶). Bull. Acad. Pol. Sci. Ser. Sci. Chim.25, 359-371] shows that the salt is a 3.5-hydrate, [Cr(3)(C(2)H(2)ClO(2))(6)O(H(2)O)(3)]NO(3)·3.5H(2)O. The trinuclear cluster cation is disordered in four of the six monochloro-acetate groups. One is disordered over two positions in respect of the chloro-methyl atoms (occupancy ratio 0.50:0.50); another is disordered over three positions in respect of the chloro-methyl atoms (occupancy ratio 0.50:0.37:0.13) whereas two are disordered over two positions in respect of the Cl atoms only (occupancy ratios 0.84:0.16 and 0.60:0.40). Of the four independent uncoordinated water mol-ecules, one has an occupancy factor of 0.5. The trinuclear cation has an oxido O atom that is connected to three water-coordinated Cr(III) atoms, the three metal atoms forming the points of an equilateral triangle. Six carboxyl-ate groups each chelate a Cr-O-Cr fragment. The cations, anions and uncoordinated water mol-ecules are linked by hydrogen bonds.
