ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(24)H(20)P(2)S(5), the P atoms are arranged trans with respect to the S(3) group and the S=P-S-S systems have cisoid geometry, with an average S-P-S-S torsion angle of -56.7°. The dihedral angles between the two phenyl rings attached to the P atoms are 87.33?(12) and 75.67?(10)°. In the crystal structure, the mol-ecules are linked into chains running parallel to the a axis by weak inter-molecular C-H?S hydrogen bonds. Centrosymmetrically related chains are further connected by ?-? stacking inter-actions, with a centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.795?(5)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, C62H78N4P4Se2Si4·2C5H12, is made up of two [SeC(PPh2NSiMe3)(PPh2NHSiMe3)] units related by an inversion center situated at the mid-point of the diselenide bond. It crystallized with two disordered mol-ecules of pentane used as solvent of crystallization. It is a rare example of an anti-periplanar diselenide and exhibits a long Se-Se bond of 2.4717?(8)?Å. The Se-C bond length of 1.876?(5)?Å is short in comparison with the range of values found for other diselenides (1.91-1.97?Å). The mol-ecule exhibits two intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, there are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions present. One of the Me3Si- groups is disordered over two positions with a refined occupancy ratio of 0.708?(8):0.292?(8). The contribution of the disordered solvent to the scattering was removed with the SQUEEZE option of PLATON [Spek (2009 ?). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. The solvent contribution has been included in the reported mol-ecular weight and density.

Project description:In the title triangulo-triruthenium compound, [Ru(3)(C(36)H(27)As)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(CO)(9)], the bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)methane ligand bridges an Ru-Ru bond and the monodentate arsine ligand bonds to the third Ru atom. Both the arsine and phosphine ligands are equatorial with respect to the Ru(3) triangle. In addition, each Ru atom carries one equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. In each biphenyl unit, the phenyl rings are twisted from each other, making dihedral angles of 51.22 (18), 42.94 (16) and 26.95 (16)°. The arsine-substituted phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 61.22 (15), 87.17 (15) and 83.32 (15)° with each other. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings are 85.52 (18) and 81.77 (15)° for the two diphenyl-phosphanyl groups, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into dimers by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯π and π-π [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6981 (18) Å] inter-actions stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, trans-[Cu(C2H)Cl(C26H24P2)2], consists of an Ru(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, in an octa-hedral environment defined by two chelating phosphines, one acetyl-ide and one chloride ligand. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. The four P atoms occupy the equatorial plane of the octa-hedron and the chloride and acetyl-ide ligands the axial positions.
