Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C48H42N4O5, a potential non-linear optical compound, the furan ring [r.m.s. deviation = 0.010?(1)?Å] and the indolyl-idene ring system [r.m.s. deviation = 0.013?(2)?Å] are inclined to one another by 18.52?(6)°. This is similar to the arrangement [16.51?(18)°] found for the N-hy-droxy-ethyl adduct of the title compound [Bhuiyan et al. (2011 ?). Mol. Cryst. Liq. Cryst. 548, 1-12]. Replacing the hy-droxy-ethyl group with 3,5-di-benzyl-oxybenzoate has not resulted in a non-centrosymmetric lattice arrangement or significant changes to the basic mol-ecular structure. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with an R (2) 2(20) ring motif. The dimers are linked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming C(17) chains along [010]. The chains are linked by further C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to (001) and enclosing R 2 (2)(44) ring motifs. There are also C-H?? inter-actions present, stabilizing the inter-layer orientation of the pendant bis-(benz-yloxy)benzo-yloxy group.

Project description:In the title complex, [Mn(C(4)N(3))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2)O(2))(2)], the Mn(II) atom lies on an inversion center and is coordinated by two 2,2'-bipyridine N,N'-dioxide (dpdo) mol-ecules and two tricyano-methanide (tcm) ligands to form a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Weak inter-molecular C-H?O or C-H?N hydrogen bonds, involving either the O atom of the dpdo mol-ecule and the pyridyl H atom, or the N atom of the tcm anion and the pyridyl H atom, result in the formation of a three-dimensional network structure.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(37)H(56)O(6), possesses twofold symmetry, with the twofold axis passing through the quaternary C atom. In the crystal, neighbouring mol-ecules are linked via O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the phenol OH group and the carbonyl O atom, forming chains propagating in [101]. Within these chains, rings are formed with an R(2) (2)(20) motif. There are also C-H?O inter-actions present within the rings.

Each Ni(II) cation in the Ni(salen) complex is four-coordinated by two imine N atoms and two phenolate O atoms from the tetra-dentate ligand. The Ni(salen) units form parallel slipped stacks with Ni?Ni separations of 3.4541?(4) and 3.6442?(6)?Å. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular hydrogen bonds between the ammonium H atoms and the perchlorate and salen O atoms, which generate a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(6)N(4))(2)](C(9)H(5)N(4)O)(2), the Cu(2+) ion (site symmetry ) is coordinated by two N,N'-bidentate 2,2'-biimidazole (H(2)biim) ligands, generating a square-planar CuN(4) geometry. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings in the ligand is 0.70?(9)°. In the polynitrile 1,1,3,3-tetra-cyano-2-eth-oxy-propenide (tcnoet) anion, the C-N, C-C and C-O bond lengths indicate extensive electronic delocalization. An alternative description for the metal-ion geometry is an extremely distorted CuN(6) octa-hedron, with two N-bonded tcnoet anions completing the coordination. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H?N and C-H?N inter-actions.
