ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(12)H(28)N(2)O(4))[AuCl(4)](2)·2H(2)O, contains one half-cation, one anion and one water mol-ecule; the cation is centrosymmetric. The Au ion has a square-planar coordination. In the crystal structure, intra-molecular N-H?O and O-H?O, and inter-molecular N-H?O, O-H?Cl and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds link the ions and water mol-ecules, forming a supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(10)H(26)N(4) (2+)·2C(6)H(4)NO(2) (-)·2H(2)O, consists of half of a doubly protonated 1,4,8,11-tetra-azacyclo-tetra-decane (cyclam) dication, a pyridine-2-carboxyl-ate anion and a solvent water mol-ecule. The complete dication is generated by a crystallographic centre and adopts an endodentate conformation which may be influenced by intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonding. The carboxyl-ate group of the anion appears to be delocalized on the basis of the C-O bond lengths [1.257?(2) and 1.250?(2)?Å]. In the crystal structure, the components are linked by inter-molecular N-H?O, N-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Synthesis and crystal structure of 1,4,10,13-tetraoxa-7,16-diazoniumcyclo-octadecane bis(4-chloro-2-methyl-phenoxyacetate).

Project description:The title compound was prepared by the reaction of 1,4,10,13-tetraoxa-7,16-diazacyclo-octadecane with 4-chloro-2-methyl-phenoxyacetic acid in a ratio of 1:2. The structure has been proved by the data of elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, NMR (1H, 13C) technique and by X-ray diffraction analysis. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the azonium protons and oxygen atoms of the carboxylate groups were found. Immunoactive properties of the title compound have been screened. The compound has the ability to suppress spontaneous and Con A-stimulated cell proliferation in vitro and therefore can be considered as immunodepressant.

Project description:The title compound, {[BaPt(CN)(4)(C(12)H(26)N(2)O(4))]·0.5H(2)O}(n), is a two-dimensional coordination polymer in which the sheets are oriented approximately parallel to the (01) set of crystal planes. In the crystal structure, disordered water mol-ecules (half occupancy) connect the sheets into a three-dimensional network via inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. An N-H⋯N inter-action is also present. The shortest Pt⋯Pt contacts are 7.5969 (4) Å by an inversion relationship and 7.6781 (4) Å by translation along the a axis.

Project description:The structure determination of the title salt, C(18)H(42)N(4) (2+)·2ClO(4) (-), reveals that protonation has occurred at diagonally opposite amine N atoms. Intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds stabilize the conformation of the dication. In the crystal, the dications are bridged by perchlorate ions via N-H?O hydrogen bonds into supra-molecular chains propagating along the c axis and weak C-H?O inter-actions cross-link the chains.

Project description:In the title compound, C(16)H(28)N(4)O(8)·2H(2)O, the 12-membered macrocycle has twofold crystallographic symmetry and the asymmetric unit comprises one half-mol-ecule. The four carbox-yl/carboxyl-ate groups reside on the same side of the macrocycle. The mol-ecule is a double zwitterion with two of the carb-oxy-lic acid H atoms transferred to the two N atoms on the opposite sides of the macrocycle, resulting in both N atoms having positive charges and leaving the two resulting carboxyl-ate groups with negative charges. The two remaining carb-oxy-lic acid groups and the carboxyl-ate groups form O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with the crystal water mol-ecules. The H atoms bound to the N atoms within the macrocyle are engaged in two equivalent hydrogen bonds with the adjacent N atoms.
