Project description:In the title molecular salt, C6H10N2 (2+)·2ClO4 (-), the Cl-O bond lengths [anion 1: 1.369 (3)-1.415 (3); anion 2: 1.420 (2)-1.441 (2) Å] and the O-Cl-O angles [anion 1: 105.4 (2)-111.8 (4); anion 2: 107.8 (1)-110.3 (1)°] indicate a slight distortion of the perchlorate anions from regular tetra-hedral symmetry. In the crystal, the components are linked into columns along the a-axis direction via N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, with stacks of the organic mol-ecules being surrounded by stacks of perchlorate anions.

The Cd(II) ion is hexa-coordinated by four carboxylate O atoms [Cd⋯O = 2.280 (2)-2.404 (2) Å] from two chelating 4-methoxy-benzoate anions, and two N atoms [Cd⋯N = 2.313 (2) and 2.332 (2) Å] from one chelating 2,2'-dimethyl-3,3'-(oxydiethyl-ene)bis-(1H-benzimidazole) ligand. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by a weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond and an inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-action.

Project description:The title compound, C(22)H(20)N(2)O(2) (2+)·2ClO(4) (-), was synthesized by the reaction of naphthalene-2,6-diol with pyridine-4-carbaldehyde, 4-picolylamine and perchloric acid. There is a centre of symmetry at the mid-point of the central C-C bond of the cation. The two pyridine rings are parallel to each other, and the dihedral angle between the naphthalene ring system and the pyridine ring is 80.68?(11)°. All the bond lengths and angles are normal. Classical inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds connect cations and anions, forming a one-dimensional chain structure.

In one cation, the Cu(II) ion is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry, while in the other the Cu(II) ion is in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal environment. Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, (C(10)H(9)N(2))(2)[Mn(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(3)(H(2)O)(8)](C(8)H(3)O(7)S)(2)·C(10)H(8)N(2)·15H(2)O, consists of dinuclear Mn(II) complex cations, sulfonato-benzene-dicarboxyl-ate trianions, 4-(4-pyridyl)pyridinium cations, uncoordin-ated 4,4'-bipyridine and uncoordinated water mol-ecules. One 4,4'-bipyridine mol-ecule bridges two Mn atoms, forming a centrosymmetric dinuclear complex; the mid-point of the C-C bond linking the pyridine rings of the bridging ligand is located on an inversion center. Each Mn(II) atom is coordinated by four water and two 4,4'-bipyridine mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Mn(II) atom deviates by 0.591?(5) and 0.209?(2)?Å from the mean planes of the coordinated pyridine rings. In the 4-(4-pyridyl)pyridinium cation, the two pyridine rings are twisted with respect to each other, making dihedral angle of 34.78?(17)°. The uncoordinated bipyridine mol-ecule is also centrosymmetric. One of uncoordinated water mol-ecules has site symmetry 2, and the other uncoordinated water mol-ecule is located close to an inversion center and its one H atom is disordered equally over two sites. Extensive ?-? stacking between pyridine rings is observed and an extensive hydrogen-bonding network of the types N-H?N, O-H?N and O-H?O is present.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title salt, 2C(6)H(9)N(2) (+)·C(8)H(4)O(4) (2-)·4H(2)O, the terephthalate carboxyl-ate groups inter-acts with the 2-amino-4-methyl-pyridinium cations via a pair of N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif. The water mol-ecules form an R(6) (6)(12) ring motif through O-H?O hydrogen bonds and these motifs are fused, forming a supra-molecular chain along the c axis. The R(2) (2)(8) and R(6) (6)(12) ring motifs are connected via O-H?O hydrogen bonds. In addition, ?-? stacking inter-actions are observed between the pyridinium rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.522?(12)?Å].
