(1R,3S)-1,1'-(1,3-Dihydro-2-benzofuran-1,3-diyl)bis(1,3-dimethyl-urea).

ABSTRACT: In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(14)H(20)N(4)O(3), the five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation with the O atom displaced by 0.207 (3) Å from the plane of the other ring atoms. Intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of three five-membered rings having envelope conformations. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming R(2) (2)(20) ring motifs, which produce two-dimensional polymeric sheets extending along the b axis. There are also two C-H⋯π inter-actions. The H atoms of one of the methyl groups are disordered over two positions and were refined with occupancies of 0.50.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(20)H(26)N(2)O(2), the 1,3-diazinane ring adopts a slightly distorted chair conformation and the hy-droxy-benzyl substituents occupy equatorial positions on the N atoms of the heterocyclic ring. There are two intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds between the N atoms of the 1,3-diazinane ring and the hy-droxy groups of the aromatic rings, with an S(6) set-graph motif. However, the two observed intra-molecular hydrogen-bond distances were different. Considering that both N atoms experience the same chemical environment, it is surprising to see the difference in O?N distances [2.6771?(14) and 2.8123?(12)?Å]. The crystal structure is further stabilized by a C-H?? interaction.

Project description:In the title compound, C(18)H(22)N(4)O, the C=N and C-N bond lengths in the CN(3) unit are 1.3179?(11), 1.3551?(11) and 1.3737?(11)?Å, indicating double- and single-bond character, respectively. The N-C-N angles are 115.91?(8), 118.20?(8) and 125.69?(8), showing a deviation of the CN(3) plane from an ideal trigonal-planar geometry. The bonds between the N atoms and the terminal C-methyl groups all have values close to a typical single bond [1.4529?(12)-1.4624?(12)?Å]. The dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 79.63?(4)°. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are connected via weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating chains along [100].

Project description:The title compound, C(15)H(20)N(2)O(2) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), was prepared by anion exchange of two bromide ions in the ionic liquid 2,2'-bis-(pyridinium-1-ylmeth-yl)-propane-1,3-diol dibromide with potassium hexa-fluoro-phosphate. The two pyridine rings are planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.008 and 0.00440?Å) and make a dihedral angle of 44.0?(2)°. Intermolecular O-H?F and C-H?F interactions occur. The four F atoms in each anion were refined as disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ration of 0.700?(19):0.300?(19).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(20)H(24)N(2)O(4)·H(2)O, contains one half-organic mol-ecule (an inversion centre generates the other half of the mol-ecule) and a half-mol-ecule of water (the O atom has site symmetry 2). The near planarity of the fused-benzene ring is illustrated by the very small deviations of all the atoms from the plane [largest deviation = 0.0092?(11)?Å. The six-membered N,O-containing ring adopts a half-chair conformation. The observed N-CH(2) and CH(2)-O bond lengths can be correlated to the manifestation of an anomeric effect in the N-CH(2)-O unit. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are connected into zigzag chains parallel to [001] through O-H?N hydrogen bonds formed between the oxazinic N atom and the solvent water mol-ecule. The chains are consolidated by C-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, C(23)H(17)F(2)NO, which crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, was prepared by the cyclization of 4-[2-bis-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)methyl-eneamino]but-3-yn-1-ol at room temperature. The mol-ecules display a tripod conformation. The two fluoro-phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 79.26?(2) and 85.87?(1)° [86.53?(1) and 83.67?(2)° in the second mol-ecule] with the indole ring, and the dihedral angles between the fluoro-phenyl rings are 67.74?(2) and 66.33?(2)°, respectively. Furthermore, the indole rings are located on the edge of the respective oxazine half-chair ring systems. Nonconventional C-H?? contacts between indole and fluoro-phenyl rings are observed.

Project description:The imidazole ring in the title compound, C(27)H(22)N(8), adopts a slight envelope conformation with the C atom carrying the phenyl ring being the flap atom. The phenyl ring is almost perpendicular to the mean plane of the imidazole ring [dihedral angle = 88.90 (7)°]. The (1H-benzotriazol-1-yl)methyl groups bound to the imidazole ring are positioned on the same side of the imidazole ring. The dihedral angle between these benzotriazolyl rings is 17.71 (5)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by a C-H⋯π inter-action, which connects the mol-ecules into zigzag chains running along the b axis.

Project description:In the title compound, C19H24N2O2, a di-Mannich base derived from 2-methyl-phenol and 1,3,6,8-tetra-aza-tri-cyclo-[4.4.1.1(3,8)]dodecane, the imidazolidine ring adopts a twist conformation, with a twist about the ring N-C bond [C-N-C-C torsion angle = -44.34?(14)°]. The two 2-hy-droxy-3-methyl-benzyl groups are located in trans positions with respect to the imidazolidine fragment. The structure displays two intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds, which each form an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H?O inter-actions with a bifurcated acceptor, forming a three-dimensional network.
