ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(C(5)H(8)N(2))(2)], the Cu(II) cation assumes a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry formed by a pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyl-ate dianion and two 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole mol-ecules. N-H?O hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

Project description:The reaction of Co(NO(3))(2)·3H(2)O with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole in a 1:1:3 molar ratio affords the title complex, [Co(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(C(5)H(8)N(2))(3)]·H(2)O. The Co(II) atom is coordinated by one pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyl-ate chelating ligand and three 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Hydrogen-bonding interactions involving the coordinated carboxylate group, 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole and water help to consolidate the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(C(7)H(4)NO(4))(C(11)H(10)N(3)O(2))]·2H(2)O, the Cu(II) atom is in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The equatorial plane is formed by two N atoms and one O atom from 6-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)picolinate and by one N atom from pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyl-ate (pdc). Two pdc O atoms occupy the axial positions. Water mol-ecules are hydrogen bonded to the complex mol-ecules, forming a two-dimensional sheet structure.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Cu(C(9)H(8)NO(4))(2)](n), the Cu atom, located on a twofold rotation axis, is four coordinate in a distorted square-planar environment. Each 2,6-dimethyl-pyridinium-3,5-dicarboxyl-ate anion bridges two Cu atoms, forming a two-dimensional coordination polymer. A three-dimensional supra-molecular network is built from N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the pyridinium NH and the carboxyl COO groups.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title Pb-based coordination polymer, [Pb2(C24H16N2O8)(H2O)2] n , consists of one Pb(II) cation, half of a 4,4'-(1,4-phenyl-ene)bis-(2,6-dimethyl-pyridine-3,5-di-carb-oxyl-ate (L (4-)) ligand and one coordinating water mol-ecule. The centers of the benzene ring of the ligand and the four-membered Pb/O/Pb/O ring are located on centers of inversion. The Pb(II) ion is coordinated in form of a distorted polyhedron by seven O atoms from four separate L (4-) ligands and by one water O atom. The PbO7 polyhedra share O atoms, forming infinite zigzag [PbO4(H2O)] n chains along [100] that are bridged by L (4-) ligands, forming a two-dimensional coordination network parallel to (001). O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecule are observed.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(3)(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(4)(C(2)H(8)N(2))(2)]·C(2)H(8)N(2)·4H(2)O, was obtained by the reaction of copper(II) acetate dihydrate with pyridine-2,6-dicarb-oxy-lic acid (H(2)dipic) and ethyl-enediamine (en) in an aqueous solution. All of the Cu(II) atoms in the trinuclear centrosymmetric title complex are six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry with N(2)O(4) and N(4)O(2) environments for the outer and central Cu(II) atoms, respectively. Various inter-actions, including numerous O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-O?? stacking of the pyridine and carboxyl-ate groups [O?centroid distances = 3.669?(2) and 3.668?(2)?Å] are observed in the crystal structure.

The Cu(II) atom in B is coordinated by two N atoms from two L ligands and two chloride anions [Cu-Cl = 2.2524?(6)?Å] in a distorted square-planar geometry. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules A into centrosymmetric dimers. Inter-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds further link these dimers with the B mol-ecules, forming chains propagating in [101].

Project description:In the title centrosymmetric tetra-nuclear complex, [Cu(4)I(4)(C(15)H(17)N(5))(2)], the two distinct Cu(I) atoms adopt similar tetra-hedral arrangements, each being ligated by two I atoms, and two N atoms from one 2,6-bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine ligand. In the crystal, there are no hydrogen bonds present, and only very weak ?-? inter-actions are observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.985?(4)?Å], which connect neighbouring tetra-nuclear units into a chain motif along the b axis.

In the structure, there are intra-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, and in the crystal, inter-molecular O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds link symmetry-related mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.
